How it works:

The classes listed below are designated Internet/WebCT. Every week, new hands-on instructions (step-by-step pictures/short video sequences) and tasks are posted to the class website which you will have time to complete during the course of the week at your own pace and from any location in the world. You can post questions, comments or pictures to the class to get feedback about your work and interact with other students and your instructor. You need only basic e-mail and internet skills to participate. You will also need to have your own loom. We know good sources for small tapestry looms if you need to purchase one. You can take the class at your own pace from the comfort of your own home.

The online classes will include the following elements:

  • weekly theory lectures and reading assignments
  • weekly hands-on assignments which you complete on your own (instructions provided to you via still images and video)
  • a class discussion group where all participants can communicate with each other and the instructor
  • e-mail support
  • realtime chat and phone support via Skype
